Taste the Crisis – Prepping for the Future
In Taste the Crisis, the audience is invited down into the bunker for a sensory and staged tasting experience — an artistic take on the future of prepping. A performer guides participants through an absurd and aesthetic universe of white rations, strange liquids, and abstract foods. The meal is at once unfamiliar, familiar, and speculative — questioning what prepping might look like if the Western world suddenly had to survive under new conditions. The work explores future scenarios, ethics in times of crisis, and the potential collapse of the Western comfort bubble. The audience is invited to ‘taste’ the crisis and reflect on what we truly value when everything changes. This pilot project marks the first step toward a larger future work involving further research and artistic collaborations.
